Deluge

You are so discouraged and battle weary that you are barely hanging on. Before you can even get back on your feet, another tidal wave hits you and knocks you down again. You don’t know how you will go on.

But look up! Lift up your head, you battle torn warrior! See Him, the Son of God, walking on the waters (Mark 4:35-41, 6:45-52). To those treacherous waves, washing over your heart, he says: “Peace, be still.

Don’t be afraid,” says the One who stills the waters; the One who hushes the winds and the waves.

Quiet. Hush.

He’s holding you now.
